Sorry it's been so long since I've updated this site; I'll try to bring it up to date soon.
But right now, let's get to work on this fan letter project for WEAVER!
Let's show WEAVER how many foreign fans they have supporting them! I'm going to make a notebook full of messages from WEAVER's foreign fans, and I'll give it to them at one of their concerts in early April, but I'll need lots of your help!
To participate, you can do any of the following:
1) Write a message.
- You can write in English or Japanese (if you write in English, I'll translate it into Japanese and include both versions of your letter in the notebook).
- You can write to just your favorite member, or to all three.
- It can be as short as you like (even one or two sentences would be great!) or as long as you like.
- Please include your name or nickname and your country.
2) Draw a picture.
The notebook will be more interesting and fun if it includes some art!
The members have mentioned both in their blogs and at concerts that they appreciate all the fan art they get in fan letters!
Even a little doodle would be great!
3) Take a photo.
You can include a picture of yourself, maybe wearing a WEAVER T-shirt or holding up a sign with a short message to the members. I'm sure they'd love to see what a variety of people they have cheering them on. Or you could take a photo of something else - anything you'd like to share with them.
You can do just one of these things, or two, or all three! But please include your name or nickname and country, no matter which you do.
How to send your contribution:
You can do any of these things -
1) Comment on this post. Include your full message in the comment, or a link if you're providing a picture.
2) Email me. First, message me through blogger to tell me that you'd like to participate. I'll reply, and then you can send your message and/or picture files to my email, with the subject line "WEAVER fan letter project" and your name.
3) Send me your message through the post. As above, message me through blogger and ask for my address. Then you can send an actual blown-up photograph, a handwritten letter, or an original drawing. If you do this, please be sure to allow plenty of time for the mail to reach in Japan!!
I'd like to get all the contributions by about mid-March, so that I have time to get the notebook ready before April. I plan to decorate the notebook and scrapbook all the messages to make a really cute notebook that the members will want to save and re-read, so it will take some time to put together.
If you like WEAVER, please take just a few minutes to tell them so! And please spread the word about this project to any friends who might want to participate. The more letters we can collect, the more special this project will be to the members!

New song release info and first concert DVD!!
Here are some exciting new announcements from WEAVER's official website!
The new song, "Kimi no Tomodachi" (Your Friend), will be available for download, and WEAVER will also be releasing their first concert DVD!!
WEAVER's new song, "Kimi no Tomodachi," which is currently being played as the official song for the 89th All Japan High School Soccer Tournament, will be released for download!
Also, WEAVER will perform at the championship game at the National Olympic Stadium on January 10th, 2011!
In addition, footage from "WEAVER Second TOUR 2010 'Shinsekai Souzouki,'" recorded on November 20th at Ebisu LIQUIDROOM, will be released as a concert DVD!

Acoustic concert photos and NICO community announcement
On November 14th, WEAVER appeared in an all-acoustic event in Tokyo. Be~chan played the djembe, and Okkun played the acoustic guitar. According to a friend of mine who went, their acoustic arrangement of "Wraith" sounded almost like reggae! If you're reading this and you saw that concert yourself, I would love to hear your report! In the meantime, here are a couple of photos from that event.

Here's an English translation of "Neverland." This song always makes me cry when I see it in concert, because it reminds me of when WEAVER did their last shows at VARIT. before going to Tokyo. Anyway, it's a really beautiful song, so I hope you enjoy it. There's no music video, but you can hear this song on the "Tapestry" album.
